The Election Aftermath

It’s interesting to watch and listen to all the politicians now that the coalition has been agreed and has been born.
We have SNP MSPs calling for the previously villified Gordon Brown to receive the Freedom of Fife (which would be highly appropriate). We’ve got the Lib Dem Con love in, and we have Labour politicians already sniping and warning of dire consequences for the Lib Dems at the next election.
These people (the snipers) need to grow up. Their fear of co-operation in politics shows that they’ve learned nothing from the result. If, and it is still quite a big if at this stage, the coalition works for the duration of the parliament, then I would suggest that national politics will have changed for ever, and that, for Labour, may mean they never govern alone again. Maybe that’s why they’re grumping….
